I HATE ESSAYS!!!!argh...maybe its cause i think too much into it...for example my teacher says write 4 pages i take it as i have to write at least 8 haha...It sux that i do so much to get an A but pple do so little and still manage a B...its damn sian...I dropped all my gen eds for next semester cause I CAN'T take 2 semesters in a row of gen eds!!!!
In contrast to the above. I LOVE my art history class (not writing essays for art history). The teacher is soooo awesome!...Put alot of the stuff i saw in France and Rome in very detailed and assescible context..I'm always in the front of his class and he's always talking to me in class about my trips to the lourve and vatican museums...MAMA IF U ARE READING THIS: I WANT TO GO BACK TO FRANCE!(and Rome)...gonne see if i can take french in spring next sem.
I know i'm procrastinating cause i just spent 4 hours reading the art history text...was interesting but at the back of my mind i knew i had to write essay.
Gonna be playing at Charlie's recital on wednesday...hes doing some final fantasy and his own comppositions which are rock fusion metal....damn kewl
Then got a session on wednesday nite...recording foster's senior project in the studios...EXCITING!...
Then of course its back to pratising and essays for the rest of the week!
Well i'm off to work on my essay on ancient greek classical art...wish me luck!

OMG! i checked today and i only have 3 weeks left of school! thats damn damn fast...and considering i just got my midterms back....end of the semester is gonna be tough man!....i got 3 more essays (at least) to write for my 2 history classes and i've to memorise a whole bunch of music for my piano exams...other harmony and trad harm exams too...

on top of that.,..i'm playing for 5 vocalist's performance exams too....haha...i'm like king of sight reading here....dunno y also....i hated sight reading when i was in singapore but i find that its a hell lot useful here...haha...good part about being in contemporary school is u just have to sight read the chord and add ur own voicings! haha...

In 4 weeks i'll be HOME IN SINGAPORE!!!!! i can smell roti prata and wanton mee and prawn mee and frog leg porridge!!!!!GUYZ WE HAVE TO GO FOR FOOD HUNT LIAOZ!!!!

well only 3 weeks of bezerklee left!....gonna cram man!!!!PRACTISE!!!!!

Midterms went fairly well...got pretty much As for everything here's break down (and i'm not trying to hao lian)

Harmony 112% (A++)
Teacher said the grade was "biblical" extra 12 points for bonus question he didn't teach yet

Traditional Harmony 100% (A)

Acoustics 96% (A)

I expected to do worse..made a STUPID mistake...and guess wat I got all the math correct but made a mistake on the music part....i was like bang head on wall man...

Western Civilization Essay (A)

Art History Essay (A)
I sent in a rather unorthadox essay with a picture of myself imitating a statue and drew comparisons of myself againt the statue....

The teacher wrote "LOVE THIS!!!" on top of the picture and started dancing about when he handed the paper to me haha! Yep...i guess creativity pays off in music school.

And yeah i made dean's list....for last sem...just got my letter today...

So it was the 4th of July (my first) and i must say its been better than all my national day's combined...singaporeans just don't get it...

Basically Boston was just one Giant party....we spent the day down by the charles river where EVERYONE in boston was hanging out having picnics on the grass and waiting for fireworks.

Yep MASSIVE CROWD and we managed to get into the performance area next to the dome....i don't believe it! Aerosmith, the boston pops and ROCKAPELLA performed there that night live!!! and I was there to see it all!!!!wohoo

Yeah American Idol reject (finalist) Ayla Brown too sang the national anthem (not majulah singapura) and even she was pretty good...

The Boston Pops was AMAZING...i mean for a live venue it was totally rockin! The even played the ENTIRE Tchaikovsky 1812 overture with canons and bells and everything in the score...unlike the damn SSO which plays a measly 5-10 mins of it when firworks go off on national day.

Rockapella definately stole the show...made me miss skatz all over again...and OMG..they sang WITH the boston pops! how kewl is that...a cappella with and orchestra...ok dosen't count as a cappella anymore but it was AWESOME!!!!!

Fireworks as usual was a feat to be remembered but this time it lasted like half an hour long...again comparing to singapore's measly 5mins...ok lar i think its quite waste money...like "BANG!" $10000,..."BANG!" another $10000..imagine every single city in US spends like a couple million on fireworks....in total u prolly got the entire GDP of singapore man...

CONGRATS TO PETER AND ABBY (who don't read this blog)
yeah...2 of my frens from church got married today...man this is weird...soon we'll all be receiving wedding invitations from our friends....this is the first of many

Weddings in the US are reallie differen't from those in singapore...100 times more EMO!...

The sermon was so good i nearly cried...ok...i'm kinda emo too i guess...but yeah KEVIN the minister was da bomb!...he came up with some acronym that spelt out peter's last name as tips for a successful marriage

Thanx to Talia for making me look like a million bucks for under a hundred...yes yes first time i ever bought a tie and a jacket...YES May...I actually own a tie now...actually had to visit http://www.tie-a-tie.net....
