OK ITS JUST ME BITCHING!

I've too much work! argh!....now that midterms are here...i've got projects and essays due...just stayed up till like 5am to finish my arranging 2 project! i'm happy with it but it took too much time! haha...getting it recorded by the berklee project big band on tuesday and i cant wait for that!

I have labs on saturday for engineering classes and i'm like left cluesless on the physics and signal flow part of it!...i'm reading the chapter like 2 times and still can't get it! ARGH! y cant it just be music!

No time to practice piano too...for the first time in 3 semesters, my teacher is making me play classical! Rachmaninov Prelude...dunno which one yet but i wanna play G minor! haha...

Counterpoint is also proving to be a pain in the ass...okok so the teacher likes me (ie, i've been licking her boots)...the material is still pretty challenging for me (the asian concert pianist)

Thats a new phrase i learnt from my piano teacher "general business"...i didn't know what it meant when he sed it so i asked him...So in music circles, "general business" refers to cover band (wedding band, function) jobs that musicians do for extra cash...yeah he was saying its rather unfufilling but the money is good!

Well right now...any business is good for me! haha..I LOVE PLAYING! so it think its good that i gig more while i'm here and still learning. That sed i've been approached by some people to play and currently have 4-5 pending bands for general business! haha...

1) "4550" with steve, chris and peter...dont know how far this one is getting along but we're doing alot of recording in the studios this semester

2) "FUNK" ensemble with stephen T, alex and some other people i dont know...hopefully its major kewl!...
3) "Wedding band" with Talia, Eddie and Rob...just had a rehearsal today....sounding good!...haha Tali we shd have some laid back loungy stuff...MISTY!!!!(black key gliss!!!)

4) "A cappella" with stephen, hami, will and eddie. Haha still in the talks

5) " A cappella" with the official berklee a cappella group...i'm trying out! wish me luck...

6) "Jazz Band" with chris, steve (roommate) and wes....CHRIS GET A FREAKING PRACTICE ROOM! ARGH!

Okok i know i have a lot of shit to do...but i love playing to and i might as well do it while i still have time rite? aha..will keep u updated on how it goes peeps

OH YEAH, Alex and I have a brand new radio show "THE LENNY AND ZAND SHOW" on the berklee internet radio network. Not sure when exactly it will be aired but will post a link and the time when its approved!

UPDATE:
Here's the demo track for the "Lenny and Zands Show" ENJOY!

So i've been limping around campus for a day now... Sparined my ankle AGAIN! and it freakin hurts! the worst part is i reallie dunno how i managed to sprain it....like i dont remember falling, or twisting it or anything....must have been something i did at the gym! argh!...

So I took like 20 mins to walk to class today! usually takes 5. Today was the first time i actually considered not going to school cause of my foot! So my record of 3 semesters without skipping a single class is still unbroken! HAHA.

My counterpoint teacher today gave a few exercises on the board and i went up for the first one...i'm always first to volunteer (kiss ass). Then after she went on to harder stuff, there was one example NO ONE wanted to try...i wanted to though but I had already gone up to the board once..I just gave her that "can i do it?" look and she was like "Leonard! I will remember this for the rest of my life if you try this question, thank you ever so much" (in her thick russian accent). So i hobbled up to the board again to solve the problem. After i finished she was like "Leonard has already earned his good grade for this class!" all for strugging with a sprained ankle! haha...i guess it was worth it going to class today then!

I GOT MY NEW STUDIO SETUP!!!!!AND I LOVE IT!!! bought a keyboard and 2 monitors (music kids call speakers monitors for those of u that didnt know)...blew a bunch of money on it but i'm in an expensive major...what can i say...lucky i have nice aunts who provide such misc stuff to me...if not i jialat already....best part is...now that i have the keyboard, i dont have to leave my room to practice piano (works out that my ankle is sparined) ! wohoo!...So thanx to jen jen i have like the best setup in berklee dorms(at least i think so! haha) Also bought a nice chair cause the one here was driving me nuts...blardy plastic secondary school chair...!

Sweet setup!
